Summary of Achievement
Second Semester Mid-Term Progress Report
Language and Literature: Chinese A: 5, B, 76-He has a lot of ideas. Shuyuan Bao can listen carefully in class. He can also finish all his homework on time, although some ofthem are not of high quality. But I believe he is trying to improve himself. I hope he can take notes more carefully, complete his homework in a down-to-earth manner as required, and then gradually improve his ability to appreciate works.
Language Acquisition: English B: 5, B, 80-This semester we have been looking at “happiness and fulfilment” as the central theme of our studies, focusing on
how different creative writing techniques can be used for other writing purposes, as well as working on spoken
English in preparation for the internally assessed oral assessment.
Shuyuan Bao did very well in his mock eAssessment; it is clear that he is paying more attention when reading instructions and
thinking about how to best meet the assessment criteria. He has worked well with others in group work and on his
individual tasks, especially the script-writing activities - It’s been a great semester so far!
Next semester, we will wrap up our MYP studies with final preparations for the eAssessment, focusing on the
command terms and how they hold the key to maximising potential marks in the exam. Moving on, we will look at how
the Diploma Programme works and begin the transition!
Individuals and Societies (History): 4, C,70-This has been a slightly unusual mid-term as I have only been in class with the student from the end of March,
however, we have been focussing on preparing for the MYP history exam, which can be a tricky exam to write, please
note that the students mid-term grades are their mock exam scores, and I expect pretty much everyone to improve on
their mock exam in the final.
Shuyuan Bao can be a little quiet in class but the quality of his written work is really excellent, he did seem to have some
trouble with a few sections of the mock exam, but now we know where those problems are we can work on solving them!
Individuals and Societies: Integrated Humanities: 5, B, 75-Shuyuan Bao is a good student overall. Bao needs to demonstrate his ability by speaking up more in class. Bao has shown
good understanding of the Integrated Humanities material we have covered in class.
Sciences: Physics: 5, B, 80-Shuyuan is a nice boy,always obey class rules and follow the class and finish tasks on time, he can deal with
problems set in familiar and unfamiliar ways, and good ability in design experiment and data analysis, but the ability of
reflecting on the impacts of science should be improved.
Mathematics (Mathematics): 7, A, 96, Subject Outstanding Achievement Award-This semester, student will complete the common of all mathematical knowledge. They have completed topic 3, which are geometric and trigonometric functions. Shuyuan Bao is very hardworking and intelligent. I suggest that he can learn calculus and statistics in advance.
Arts: Visual Art: ,5, B, 78-Shuyuan Bao presents a good outline of a clear and feasible artistic intention.
He had a good grasp of unit knowledge .He could reflect on the problems in the process.But he did not seriously think
of creative methods, painting technology needs to be improve .
Physical and Health Education: PE: 7,A,92, Subject Outstanding Achievement Award
The initial assessments, performance development plans, final performances, and reflections that my student coachclient delivered were truly remarkable. They were able to identify specific areas for improvement and create targeted
performance development plans that were tailored to their client's individual needs. I could see that they had made
significant progress in their basketball skills, and their confidence and overall presence on the court had also
improved. It was a pleasure to witness the hard work and dedication that had gone into this project. Well done.
Design: Digital Design: 4, C, 74-Shuyuan Bao did OK on Scratch learning but you didn't work hard enough on your report. If you could submit your work on
time and deepen your understanding on IB, you would get a higher grade.

Although he has just come to this class, he has been working hard to adapt to the new learning task and rhythm, and he can finish all kinds of homework. I hope he can improve the efficiency of class, take notes, improve the review efficiency after class, and improve the quality of homework, which is the first step of Chinese learning.

This semester we have been looking at digital communication techniques, focusing on the origins of emoji and
emoticons and how language has changed throughout the years. Through a series of blog writing and video-making
tasks, we used technology to adapt to the online/offline challenges of the last few months.
Shuyuan has continued to show a clear understanding of the concepts covered in class and speaks with confidence and clarity. As we move forward, it would be nice to see him pay a little more attention to detail in his written work, as slight errors or missed instructions sometimes hinder his scores.
Next semester, we will use "happiness and fulfilment" as the central theme of our studies, focusing on how different

Shuyuan has done well in class this semster, whilst the MYP history exams can be challenging his dilligent note taking
and the clear focus he shows will help him immensely, I was expecially impressed with the essay he wrote as a summative task.

Bao has shown a marked improvement since last semester. Bao needs to demonstrate his ability by speaking up
more in class. Bao has proven to have a basic grasp of the Integrated Humanities material we have been studying.

Shuyuan has a positive attitude on study, and he can finish all assignment on time, he has good ability on dealing with
problems set in familiar ways and unfamiliar ways, and he can present data in a correct way, keep on.
Mathematics: Mathematics：7，A，90，Subject Outstanding Achievement Award
Bao is very clever. He is one of the best students in our class. He often helps his classmates solve mathematical
problems. I suggest that he carefully preview the new knowledge, so that he can better solve the new knowledge in
the classroom.

He can be very active in class. He demonstrates adequate knowledge of the art form studied, and demonstrates
substantial acquisition and development of the skills and techniques. He was able to perform well according to the
requirements of the unit.

Baoyuan's participation in basketball and online fitness classes this semester has been very consistent; His activity
